Hi, I am sure that this is an easy question for some of you to answer but I can't... how do I get rid of this white line. I made the button from one of the tutorials and was trying to use it for a webpage. I added rollover effects in imageready and then when I saw it on the webpage it looks like this. Thanks for your help

Stupid white line

The white pixels around your button are called "jaggies". To get rid of these you must pick the correct background color in the Save for the Web dialogue box.
Obviously you had it set to white in your example. The best thing to do is figure out what color your background is that you're going to be placing the button on.
In the Save for Web dialogue box pick the same color (Matte) as that of the background you'll be placing your button on.
This way you will always have a nice blend between your image and the background you place it on.

Btw, I wonder if people know that you can hold down the CTRL key on the PC while using the color picker to grab any color outside Photoshop
I think it was introduced in PS 7, I'm not sure.

I don't get what you guys are talking about. Clicking on a document outside Photoshop to me means using the eyedropper and trying to click on the background color of some web page, which doesn't work for me at all.

Wendy was right; you don't need the CTRL key; my fault, sorry ;\
Doug, Wendy means with "any part of your open document" a Photoshop document.
Just open a new Photoshop document, take the eye dropper tool and left click somewhere inside this document, hold the mouse key and move you eye dropper to any area inside or outside Photoshop and release the mouse key and the colour is saved.
