Steampunkish Pipes.

I have always been a fan of the Steampunk style, and a while ago now, I did a Wallpaper which I said I would try to expand on at some point. I finally got round to trying it.

This image isn't going on the wallpaper, but the pipe elements will be. I made all the pieces separately so I can make my own pipe network design.

Done in Ai using Mesh Gradient on the curves, then finished in PS for texture.

Very mnicely done. I love when people make their own elements instead of manipulating google finds. I wish I had such fierce skills.

Nice job SPWA. I had once a similar job to do. It was more difficult than I thought. As I remember I struggled with the lighting in the tubes.

Me too. I made 2 of each curved piece, and when I colored the mesh, I did the light streak on alternate sides. I had to decide which one worked best for the position it was in.

Light is a funny thing.
