I was asked by SquidThief to make this album cover for his free EP out tonight on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SquidThief <-- if anyone's interested in a download. But yeah he wanted something to do with an old TV so this is what i came up with, let me know what you think.

I like the idea and the color on the tv. It might have more impact to have the tv larger, maybe even going off the frame. It needs a little more zzzip I think. I can't make out the white object behind it and it therefore is distracting.

I like the concept but it's way too dark. Dark conceals and light reveals. The darkness might work here if you added a contrasting dramatic light element.

The screen of the TV needs something other than the text.

Yes, I can't put my finger on it, but I do know this, I've had to scrap some favorite ideas afters a few hours of finding "this just isn't working!" and start fresh. Which does not necessarily mean tossing the entire idea. But this just isn't grabbing my attention a whole lot. Let's see another design!

I sound like a corporate client: I'd like to see three proposals please; then I will take them to the board when we next convene, that would be about . . . 3 weeks, and my people will call your people with our final decision within the next 3 months . . . dismissed.
