Hi all,

I have this game which most have heard about I guess, I've seen someone on a forum post these images and they really look great, my question is how he might have produced this kind of look/feel within Photoshop.

Ill post a link to an album containing the images below!
edit: cant post albums yet...lame.

the top one (looking liker a ferarri) is my own try, as you can see the images below and top do not match at all, it looks better than without editing ofcourse but still not near the kind of picture effects I desire....anyone willing to shed some light? :)

We don't require albums, one or two images will be fine.

What is the first image for?

Just so we understand, you want to know how to create the effects in the last two images, correct?

the first image is my own attempt , im not a guy who doesnt try out and just asks away..Ive tried many times but failed, that is why im here now :)

and yes the last 3 are from the same guy with (i think) the same sort of editing technique!

For me, the first image is the best of all four.

The second looks like a bad, out of focus, photo.
The last two have some effects thrown in and are pretty decent.

Be patient, someone will come along and help you soon. Good luck!

haha I'll take that as an compliment (first image being mine :P)
I underestand where you are coming from with the second one but I actually do really like the ''movement'' it adds to the image, because GTA itself looks pretty...boring without any effects

If I understand you correctly, you want to achieve the look like the last 3 pictures. You can achieve a similar result by using the curve tool.

I measured the average density of the blacks and whites in those images. With the curve tool I reduced the blacks from 0 to 25, and the whites I increased in the blue channel from 255 to 230, and I reduced the whites in the red channel from 255 to 247.
