Spacing is missing! Help needed

This probably sounds like a really stupid problem.
I am using Photoshop CS 3, and when viewing the brushes palette, I cannot see or find out the spacing option for the brush, together with the other options that follow with the proper set of windows. All I get is the list of brushes. Nothing more.
Of course, this may have the easiest and most obvious solution. I have tried for hours now...
