Hey guys I'm trying my best to replicate the font w/ the outline in photoshop but I really can't seem to get it right at all. I was hoping someone might have some pointers?

I appreciate your help on this guys! Thanks! I'm using CS6 on a macbook air.

Hi there,

If you look closely, there is more than just a stroke on this text. There are a couple layer styles on these including stroke, gradient subtle drop shadow and it looks like a bit of bevel/emboss.

Take a look at this tutorial which will introduce you to the layer styles and play around with some settings until you get the desired effect!

Hey Josh, there's many ways to accomplish these text effects.

Here's one way:

Start with the main text and color.

Instead of using a stroke from the Layer Styles, add a black text layer beneath the first. I expanded the text selection by 6 pixels.

The two layers combined.

Then add a Layer Style to both. I used 3 on the purple text layer. Bevel & Emboss, Inner Shadow, and Inner Glow. And 2 on the black layer, Bevel & Emboss and Inner Glow.

Here, I just turned off the Bevel & Emboss and inner glow on the Purple text layer.

The purple text in the OP's post seems to have the Bevel/emboss on the Purple color... but the Green Text seems to have Bevel/Emboss on Black outline only..

Good one IamSam .. I hope OP got the answer intended
