Hi, lately when I use the brush tool and try to alter the size or orientation via the 'brush' window the cursor completely disappears so I have no idea where I am. I have to mouse over to a blank part of the desktop to get the cursor back again. I change my brush to the new setting and then the same thing happens when I want to change it again. It's really irritating. I'm using an iMac with mountain lion OS. It is only the brush tool that behaves in this way. Any work which needs frequent changes of brush dynamics is a nightmare. Anybody else had this??

Cursor issues are typically a problem with the Operating System, not Photoshop. I would recommend checking into some Mac settings that can cure your problem.

Have you already checked your Photoshop cursor display setting under Edit>Preferences? I highly doubt anything in there is contributing to your problem, though...

Thanks, the puzzle is that it ONLY happens when using the brush tool, and not on any other programmes either. As soon as I click outside the work area the cursor comes back. In the work area it shows as A) the brush I am using or B)vanishes altogether. I then have to try and guess where it is. If I'm lucky and it is on the menu bar then the cursor will sometimes come back.
