Hey, Abbe!
Been awhile, dude.

Looks great Abbe. Nice web site and well documented tutorials :righton:
The only thing that bothered me were the many spelling mistakes and that you always use lowercase "I". No need for that if you have a spelling check. Spelling/grammar might not be important in a chat, it's important for a web site though.

If you want me to help you to get rid of some of the mistakes, no problem ;)

Hey G i use the lower case "i" all the time, except when it's the first letter in the sentence. I just prefer it. And i had an editor tell me once, as i mentioned this to her, that it wasn't really incorrect to do so, but was seen as more of a personal preference.

Being as i got very good grades in English, i would tend to disagree with her view, but i still prefer using it anyway. ;)

Oh and btw guys -- this board is not being used the way i intended it to. Please read the new anouncement thread i've posted concerning this.

Great looking website abbe and some really cool tutorials!:righton: :righton: :righton:

[upset] Sorry Mark... the lower case "i" you can get away with in a 'chat programme/personal E-mail', but for a (professional) website... NOT [doh] !!!! [confused] ;\

:\ Just my 2 cents... I'm a "stickler" for these sorts of things!

You mean a site created for a "Client" G?
Well ya then NO, proper grammer is a must, as is spelling and the like.

I agree in that case. :righton: :B

This assumes that you're typing in English... which, most of the time, abbe is not. Personally, I have a lot of respect for anyone who is multi-lingual. Most of us can barely handle ONE language.

MindBender: I have a lot of respect for anyone who is multi-lingual. Most of us can barely handle ONE language.

I most certainly "ditto" your words MindBender!!!! :righton: ;)

he he he I am one of those...... can't spell........ get tongue tide spshly afer a feu drinks hic hic ..... in my own language [shhh] 8}

This bizarre habit of adressing oneself in written language with a capital "I" has always struck us as making a rather pretentious impression on foreigners. To avoid this problem, we have decided to use the Pluralis Majestatis in stead. 8}

Yep, yep Erik! :) But hasn't English always been that 'pretentious' language (and I don't mean to offend anyone with my observation)... [confused] [honesty]

Perhaps the habit of addressing oneself (in English) as "I" (capitalised) is, indeed, a bit pretentious in this day and age of the internet... and, no doubt, there will come a day when this practice will be dropped...
;) [excited]
