Some problems with Photoshop brushes.

Hi!

I'm starting to learn how to paint with Photoshop, but i had some problems with the brushes. I'll try to explain the best I can (I'm not english-speaker, so for me it's a bit dificult).

As you can see in the image below, when I'm making lines, the tip of the line doesn't sharpen, it remains like a thin round line (I don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly, sorry, but I think the picture explains for itself), and I don't know how to fix it.

A friend of mine was with me, he tried my graphics tablet in his computer and it worked right, with the same version of the program, same configuration. I also tried with his tablet in my computer and it was all the same, so I think it should be a problem with something in Photoshop.

Thank you for your help and sorry for my crappy english.

Which brush are you using? I can't tell from the image.

That would be spot on IamSam.

Thank you for your answers!

IamSam, I tried as you told me... but nothing changes. As a prove I have one picture.

Before trying Photoshop I was using Easy Paint Tool Sai, a very easy and friendly program to draw and paint in the computer (but also very limited, that's why I wanted to move to Photoshop). Well, in this program the line looks perfect. This is why I don't understand this problem.

Open your your Bamboo in system preferences and change the tip feel. I increased mine which helped with creating tapered strokes.

Thank you guys for your answers!

I changed the tip of the pen, but still the same. I tried as IamSam told me, increasing the tip feel in the bamboo options, it improved it performance a bit... but I'm still having the same problem. I have to draw very very soft to get that smooth tip in the line, so when I try to do a bigger line it's imposible to get that kind of tip, it gets round (like in the first pictures I showed you).

The main problem of this thing is that I can't get the precission desired to draw or paint in Photoshop. I don't know if some of you use it for drawing or painting but I supose you can understand my frustration with this problem...

Today I'll try to format my harddisk and then reinstall the program... I don't know if this would work, but since only Photoshop gives me this problem and other programs not, I don't know what else to do.

Thank you again guys! I'll keep searching for answers... and if you still have any idea I'll be very glad to know!
