Hi
My friend is working as a part time graphics designer.
And I have just built a computer for him, tailored to his Photoshop needs.
He is currently working on a large project.
40in x 5in @ 750 pixel/inch.
And most brushes work fine.
But when he uses some og the more complicated brushes, in a large size (around 300px) then his computer lags significantly. It can take a couple of minutes to recover from a few strokes.
We are not sure why. And windows monitor show that only around 11gb of 64gb ram is used, and neither the cpu nor gpu has any significant load.
His new computer is a Intel 11600 cpu, on a MSI 590-a pro motherboard.
64gb of ram (with 2 available slots for up grade).
A WD NVME 1TB for OS, and a Samsung 980 pro 500GB for a scratch disk.
Does any one know what causes the lag? Or know how I can find the bottleneck?
Regards Charlie
