Some actions run but won't work

Starting this morning, some actions will run but they won't work. I've tried defragging and rebooting system. I deleted and reloaded some actions. TRA Oh Snap stopped working this morning, then it worked for a few minutes and then later this morning it stopped working again. So far I have found about 6 actions that run but don't do anything. It's like the opacity has been turned off and they don't affect my image. Am I going to have to delete cs5 and start all over again? Any ideas?
