Softening model effect with silverish color

Hi guys!
I'd be very interested to do the attached effect on my photos. I've noticed that the overal picture and specially the skin is very soft and I like this silverish/computer game like color effect.

Does somebody know how this was done?

1) Duplicate layer and desaturate 100%.
2) Using soft brush with very low opacity, slowly erase areas where you want color to show through until desired amount shows.
3) Merge all layers into new layer and apply a gaussian blur of a few pixels. Fade back opacity of this layer until you get desired soft focus.

new layer mode>Hue> opacity>73% or so.fill 90% or so Color#a8a8a8

of coarse it will need tweaking but that'll do it..I think
