softening edges and transparency

Hello, I did a logo for a website using PSCs6 , is only text with a black backgroung. I am uploading this to a wordpress template. As you see in the picture I would like to soft those edges to match the fading gray color os the template, how can I do this?

Make sure the logo is a couple of pixels smaller than the canvas in height and width and centralise it. Then go to effects/blur/gaussian blur, and make it about 0.4. this will soften the edges as so. Make sure you save as .png to preserve the transparency of the blurred edges.
