Also finishing up this snake logo for my gym.

Have gone through several iterations, and like this one best so far.

Any thoughts?

looksgreat,
i would suggest full black no gradients,
thickness of the scales is a bit disproportional with the shape line thickness.
looksgreat.

Thanks. May have to thicken the scales a bit. Client hasn't decided yet between gradient or all black.

I really like this logo but maybe a vertical slit in the eye, either as black, or as a way of adding colour to the logo. I fully agree with the no gradient sentiment though. I would contemplate putting the three scales where the two scales are, then deleting the two scales.

The overall design of the logo is awesome.

Slit might look cool. Will give it a try. I originally made the whole eye a cool bright-to-dark-yellow gradient, but client wants one color.

a snake with no fangs.....?.....kinda loses its bite...oh that was cheesy......but seriously you can use fangs to really open up the lines of this logo, ....lose the scales..at least the front three..too busy with all of them.....Think that if you do that you will get some wicked lines and keep it clean and simple

It's supposed to be a boa, and boas don't have fangs. (they do have teeth) I think the ideas on the scales are good suggestions from all, and I'm going to mess around with them.
