Smoothing out these lines?


If you got a very steady hand, you can use a paint brush to smooth it out. But that's quite a pain on the wrist.

Use the pen tool to create a path around the object . Then use the convert point tool to drag the anchor handles to follow the follow the objects curvature. If your familiar with Corel Draw, you know what I mean.

Next, In the paths pallete, click on the path while holding down the CNTRL key to convert the path into a selection. Go back to the layer pallete, select the layer and fill with color you want.
 
You could also try using the lassotool to go around and smooth out the shakier parts and delete the sides of the image...

That might be difficult if you are using a mouse, however.

I think your best bet is the pen tool, like listed above.
