I'm creating a map using a base layer and placing images around the edge with lines pointing to the correct location on the base layer map.
I'm using my own jpg files which are sized to 2x2 prior to bringing into PS.
So, first, I'll explain how I'm TRYING to do it and how it isn't working for me.
If I'm on the right track and just need a pointer or two, pls, pls, pls.
If there's another way to do it that's much easier, just start me over.
OK, here's what I'm doing.....
First, the finished product will be printed on 8.5x11 paper. So, I bring the base layer jpg in and it's about 7.5x8.5 which is fine. So, that's the size of the canvas and the image.
[separately, in LR, I cropped an image I want to use and output a fairly high rez jpg]
In PS5, I open a new window of 2x2. I PLACE a 2x2 image in a new layer. I add a white fill layer that is slightly larger than the image (for a border)
Then I select ALL layers, copy, switch to the other window (with the base layer) and paste - and the image I've pasted is about 3 1/2 in square - not the 2 in square it was in the other window.
Yes, I can transform it to be 2x2, but isn't there another cmnd sequence that would work correctly?
