So, I just joined as of 5 minutes ago. I was hoping someone could spare a few minutes to help me out. I'm trying to blow up a picture into a poster for a summer league swim team present, but would like to get rid of some shadows on the 2 people's faces. The males face doesn't look like it needs any changing, but the girls face is pretty shadowy/dark. Can anyone help!? I have no photoshop on my computer and my work computer doesn't have it either. Hoping someone is kind enough to help,

Thanks in advance!

Hi I would do second layer, mask that only the dark part of the girl would get through, lighten it and than adjust realistic look with layer's opacity.

Quick fix would be to just brush over the girls dark side with the dodge tool.
Image is too small for what you want to do anyway.

Wow, thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for helping me since I do not have access to photoshop.

If there is anyway you would have time to do just one more I'd greatly appreciate it! I'm turning one of the two pictures into a 24x36 poster, so there are two very similar pictures that I took and this one was taken a little closer to the two people. If you have time to do it extremely fast again that would be awesome because the one you did was perfect. Thanks again!copy auto correct.jpg

If you do not have access to photoshop there are several free programs you may use.
Such as Gimp, which can be found here.
If you would like I can walk you through it in gimp.

Hi,
I will do it for you more accurately than before when I get home, you should have it here three hours from now.
Cheers,

I have much faster network in the office, so here you go. I have psd file too, so let me know if you see something that could/should be made better ;-)
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks. I looked it up and I don't think it is capable with my computer. I have an older Inspiron with Windows and I'm pretty sure it's older than Windows XP SP3

100_0644 copy A.C. photoshop.jpgIs there a way that the light pole could be covered up? I tried doing it in paint, by copying a section of the sky and pasting it on top, but whenever I do that it makes it look pretty fake haha. This will be the photo that I use because I really like how well the shadow removal turned out. Thanks again!
