Shadow face

Hello, i'm new here and i really need some help, with this.

Can someone tell me or make a tutorial on how to make a shadow on the face like this:



I really wanne make my picture like that.

What you see on the photo is the lighting not Photoshop.
In Photoshop there are a number of ways to do it, you could add a black to transparent gradient in a separate layer and then clip it to the layer with the face. (like I did here with the circle)

To create a clipping layer, ctrl+alt click on the border of the layer in the layers palette.

Have you got a table lamp or something? Your best bet is to light yourself from one side and take a picture. Without flash.

No point trying to Photoshop something that's easy to photograph.
