Shading help request

Hi, I am new to photoshop and illustrator and was wondering if someone can help me put some shading on this clock to make it look a bit more 3D.

Thx for the reply, but i was looking for more of a 2D like shading instead of using gradients. I think it's called cell-shading. I've tried looking up tutorials for it but i havent found one that is detailed enough for a newcomer like me.

Is it better to use photoshop or illustrator for the cell-shading, and what tools should i use?
