why do my posts get deleted for saying the same thing as other people? seriously it infuriates me, I'm beginning to feel as if I'm not welcome here anymore and I'm being treated like the scum of the earth by just about everyone, yet people who have done worse things than I have are being treated like flipping angels! it's really getting frustrating now!

There are no forums like this anywhere, I joined one forum and it was full of snooty idiots who thought because I was a teenager and a girl I had no rights at all on that forum, I was in and straight out again, I don't want to leave this place because at least you gave me a chance when I joined, but if you can't be doing with me then I will leave, because I'm sick of it!

I've asked for things to be done and they haven't been done they've just been left hanging as usual, Threads aren't being answered anymore, I work hard to show you guys something and I get a scarce response these days! I tried to be happy but no one seemed to respond to that either, so really i'm stuck for anything else apart from taking it on directly with this thread and it seems like people are holding grudges against me for my ability to speak my mind, yet it seems other users are allowed to freely speak theirs and be as rude as they want.



What happened to the OLD PS gurus with Vafann, SeniorS and Sir Maximus, when Paul was Belial and Hoogle and Ibclare were gurus and proud of it (not saying you are bad mods) where people actually answered the threads you posted where it wasn't just one post wonder people with requests constantly listed down the new posts search

There used to be a wide variety of long term members around here, it used to be really vivid and friendly with loads of artistic talent being shown day in day out, the weekly challenges used to have pages and pages of posts but the last one barely got anywhere.

Now there are about 4 or 5 frequent posting members, the rest either come in, post requests get what they want and go, or post a few pieces of art and then never return.

I know people couldn't give a rat's behind if I was here or not, I know I've done wrong, and I apologise for that but what the hell is up? seriously!
 
I think discretion and choosing the right time to air your thoughts goes a long way.

I personally have had huge job opportunities and work whilst working around my appartment being flooded ceiling collapsing, illness and lots of hardware damaged.

I am not avoiding this forum at all just there is a fine line between enjoying being here and having it become a priority in your life above more important things ie earning money and chasing dreams.

there are categories of members those that want to make requests, those that want to show off there work, those who are here to learn and those that are here to teach but also there is a category for people that use this as a social outlet.

I personally came here to ask a question and feel from that I wanted to share my knowledge and up til recently have always been willing to do so but I have had to take more of a background approach to the forum as I am just to busy with getting into long winded threads and discussions.

that is a sign of a good mod to be able to stand back and let the members do the help and requests we have our fair share of members that claim to be experienced using photoshop so why not let them have a chance.

We still moderate posts you may think a lot of yours are being deleted but also probably not noticing the ones we delete by other people as they are gone by the time you get to the threads.

Vafaan has her reasons to be absent as well, seniors found this was taking to much time away from his personal life and work life.

I have not seen any recent threads from you to comment but as you have self admitted you habe a tendency to blow up so maybe people are scared to comment.

If you have an issue try and do it through pm I have always listened to you and if I can help or rectify a problem I will.

Starting threads like this really doesnt help and portrays a negative image on the forum to newcomers.

any issues in future pm any of us and we will find out what is going on and get back to you.
 
Aye, Hoogle i understand, what you have said it was very insightful indeed, i know people have other priorities than this site, but i just miss old PSgurus, you know, but thats what i was "born" into if you get me.

got hit by the flash floods?

my tendency to blow up has left a huge and unsightly scar on my profile i suppose, but i could have been scared to respond to a few other members threads at the risk of getting abuse, but i did it anyway, I'm not all that bad, i tend to lash out when i feel cornered, I'm not asking for special treatment, but i am trying to be more mindful of what i'm doing, and just politely say stop.

i always feel if i PM someone with something like that they'll think i'm having a go at them, which doesn't help. but i suppose i could question the delete next time.

if you want, you can delete the thread, i got more than the answer i needed thanks guys :)

@steve, thanks, i didn't really think there was that much wrong with them in my honest opinion, it's not my usual swear fest :P
 
I was living in a pub in Darwen when the floods hit, and totally destroyed all the stock and cooling equipment when the cellar became totally under water.
 
Yeah, I almost drowned and my neighbor who is a lifeguard decided to save his horse before me :neutral:

There are several ways of saying the same thing.

" .... you know, we aren't here to be exploited or mistaken as a free request forum, you have posted SEVERAL requests asking for free edits, so I think you are milking it now to be honest, first or second request, fine but this is AT LEAST your FOURTH REQUEST FOR FREE EDITS.
we aren't here to tend to people's every need, certainly not for free we are here to teach and learn at the very least ..."

Both of those statements say the same thing, only one potentially invites a sarcastic comeback and before you know it we have a pissing contest in the forum.
That's why your posts were rightfully deleted, to head off a potential back and forth that could get out of hand.

I restored a few of your posts as a one time courtesy to a long time valued member who was upset.
How you say something here is just as important as what you say.

 
Zeealex, I do apologize that I did not PM you when I deleted the batch of posts that were getting gnarly. That was not good communication and it won't happen again.

I do hope you'll be careful about making generalizations when you're mad. You aren't the only one who has not gotten responses from anyone or from just one person. There have been three challenges posted (in various forum places) in the last couple months, one by Adrijus a couple days ago; one by me last week . . . I haven't seen you respond to any of the 3.

You aren't being persecuted. You know how often you've been told you're a valuable member! I mean it. You're not that different at putting your foot in your mouth than any of the rest of us are from time to time, XD. I miss a lot of the fun we used to have, but I have hopes it will happen again, the challenges and all -- cycles Zee. It goes in cycles.

I have started 139 threads here, about 40 odd have gone unanswered, what's that a thirdish?
People reply if they want to here lately, well for a while.
No real members left - all gone like the dodo, barely a handful of good honest shoppers the rest are just free loaders and bums.

Hell i just had a mail come through asking me about tattoo realism, why not just thread it, i hate back door requests.
And yeah it was faked and very badly.

Really I need to get out of the vicious cycle of "me against the world" I think that's part of the problem here.

But to be honest, I don't want my previous infractions and problems being held against me and I don't want people to fear responding to my threads or comments Incase I might blow up.

so if it's not to much to ask can we forgive and forget what happened? i'm not asking for my infractions to be cleared, but it would be nice for people to feel as if they can freely respond to what i post without much trouble.

@Clare true i do need to quit it don't i XD the generalisations were more like feelings, sometimes i just need to vent, but it's not that i feel persecuted I just feel like crap (scuse me) i know the old members can't be around and they have their reasons but I just miss it, and the cycle is taking it's sweet time XD where's those threads, mustn't have seen them?

@steve, in that case delete them then, sorry don't mean to mess around. it was a lovely move and i appreciate it, but if you restored them just because i was upset then although it was a nice gesture, it might warrant a trend of people stamping their feet and screaming, to get their posts restored. an explanation for the delete would have sufficed that way I know why and I could have conversed with the mod (in this case Ibclare) about the situation.

the model response sounds fab, I'll keep that in mind and place the frustration aside when responding next time, or give it my own twist to make it sound a bit more personal, in a good way obviously, just make it sound more "me"-ish if you get me.


Lastly, I will make a PROMISE that I won't blow up at anyone who responds to my threads or comments.

If in the unlikely event that I do remind me of this please! just quote it in your post :P

why dont I get an @hoogle mention I feel left out and so will dv8 lol.

Your infractions are on record for us to monitor future incidents as a reference but have expired so pretend they are not there.

Lets be honest you have got away with a lot of stuff because people here have looked after you a bit and kind of dismissed things "oh thats just Zee" comments have been made by myself. I really hope you are taking note on this because you are coming to the age now where people will not address you as a teenager but more of an adult, then they are not so forgiving. My advice if you have something negative to say then think hard do you really need to say it, if so then word carefully so it doesnt turn into a flame war.

I have had several negative comments towards people here but have always worded them in a way where it can not make me look bad or turn into a long winded argument. So you are not the only one that feels they have to vent what they really think.

Let this be a wake up call think before you type.

If there is a problem speak to us privately first we will address it

Good luck to you and I really hope to see the happy girl that is always chatty again.
