My friend asked me there was away to make a job out of selling photoshop work? I believe he ment as an art kind of thing. My friend all so said he thinks i should sell my photoshop pictures. Not sure if there good enough though. I would like to make a career with photoshop and start freelancing. I don't know exactly where to begin with that. I've been using photoshop for 3 years now. Does anyone use illustrator? Can some one help me?

As far as selling you could start with deviantART. I've bought a few prints off there over the past couple of years.

Can't say much about selling IMAGES... unless you do photo-retouch services for photographers and clients.......... but to make logos, broshures, avatars, Banners (both outdoor and website), etc, even phomanipulation, one can make a carreer in PS. Ask some of the guys here who do it.

Ok. I think i still need to practice before i can do any of that. Can you do all of that in photoshop? Do i need to use like illustrator?

depending on what you plan to do.... Basically everything can be done in PS... layout, bodycopy, ... but it is an advantage to have a vector application like Corel or Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator can do the comps - tex and image layout.... Corel Draw or Corel Xara can do the same thing and can be used to create vector images - something that PS cannot do as well.

There are tons of tutorials on both photoshop and illustrator out there in both written and video format. Some really good ones in video are put out by Lynda and you can find most of them on youtube.This will help you improve your skills and your confidence in what you do.

I strongly suggest Lynda.com but only a fraction, not most, are available on Youtube.
