Hello,
I am a newbie to Photoshop and to this forum. Yesterday I found this video of Yondu from the Guardians going up and down all Mary P. like. I know the basics so I was able cut and crop the video however I have tried for nearly 4 hours to loop this gif into a seamless loop both in Photoshop and After Effects and failed miserably . As I said I am a newbie to the thread so I don't know if people usually post gifs or if gifs are not posted at all. I couldn't find anything in the rules and I am sorry in advance if I missed something.

SO, my request is to turn this gif into a seamless loop and I'm planning on using this on my iphone as a live wallpaper so the format is appreciated but not necessary. I don't know if I'm asking too much work to be done really but I couldn't really find another way of doing it. Anyways thanks a lot in advance and I would also appreciate some pointers for the newbie for this kind of work. Marry Poppins Y'all!

Hello and welcome to PSG.

In order to have a seamless GIF, your last frame needs to be one step before your first frame. In your case, you have the added bourden of matching the cloud movement as well. For these types of GIF's, I only use video animation, it's far easier to get the timing right. The clouds would be on one layer and Yondo would be on another. You can control the timing of each layer using keyframe points.

Here is your last frame. The guidelines show the difference of position.

And here is your first frame.

Also, the Yondo image should be the same frame from beginning to end for the movement, you seem to have used many different images of him. You can really see this in the last frame where his eyes are closed.

Hmm, so I think if I shorten the clip just a little bit I might be able to line up the first and the last frame, so the timing is the only problem I have left. Thanks, I will try to look into it again.

Well, not with what you have here. You might rework the original PSD file. I thought about shortening the clip for you, but that's when I realized you used many different images of Yondo.

If you post the original image of Yondo and the original image of the clouds, we can make it work.
