Not really an issue but a question, I ussaly have my screen set at 1028x764 and I use that resolution to design websites.

Today I upped the screen to 800x600 just to look at my sites as most people in my area use that resolution.

WOW I could see again !!!!!!!!

The question is what resolution do you all design in? and do you check your designs in different resolutions.

You mean 1024 by 768. ;)

My screen res is an odd 1152x864.
I'd go to 1280 but my monitor is a little older and 'whistles' when certain windows are open at that res. And it's annoying. So i'm one step below 1280.

Any learned designer should know to check their designs in at least 8x6 res. Because depending on what type of site they're creating, their target audience will more than likely be using 8x6.

Because i usually center all my designs, 8x6 is about my only concern. The resolutions above that will never pose any problems with layout. Only text being too small will usually be the issue for higher resolutions.

Thanks for that correction Mark [confused]

Yea I agree with you, I have found that the majority of people use a 8x6 resolution so I always keep that in mind when designing. :righton:
