I have a small problem saving layers as Bitmaps. I have a PSD document with a grey background and hundreds of layers (it is icon work for a 3D software company). Each layer was a 300x300 Jpg with the background cropped out so that you could see the background layer through the transparent part of the icon. When the file was small I used to make each layer visible in turn and save as a BMP so that it had the grey background in the BMP but it has since grown to the point where I need to use a script (export layers to file) to do this and it does work EXCEPT each BMP has a whiote background and not the grey one I need.
Any idea how I can save each layer with the background colour (grey) rather than the default white I am getting?
Apparently when the icons are later converted to 32 bit BMP with transparency by developers the white background is less successful than a darker (grey) background.
