Hi there,
Can anyone try to explain why I cannot seem to save an animation in ImageReady. I save optomized, but all it says is It will only save one frame. 8} I want to be able to use the animations in other applications like Director and Dreamweaver

mmm... i've never seen that message before. Would you be able to post a copy of the file so i/we can open it and try saving it ourselves?

Otherwise, i have no good answer to this problem.

I have had that happen to me as well. The animation works well in IR but when I try to save optimized it will only allow me to save one frame as a jpg. [confused] [confused]

Could it have anything to do with the image size?

Have a quick look in the optimise window and make sure that it is gif not jpg showing there because if it shows jpg it will only save the one frame - change it to gif and it will save it optimised :D

Hi again,
If i use Paintshop pro 7 i have no trouble using the animations made in that
It says
Because Jpeg,Png and Wbmp do not support animation, ImageReady will save only the currently selected frame.
So if thats the case whats the point of it.

girlvixen, I'm not familiar with Paintshop Pro, but if it does save an animation that originally were jpg frames, my guess is that it first converts them to gifs.

It's not a matter of what an application supports; it's the file format itself. JPEG does not support animation; GIF does.

The solution in ImageReady is to make sure your frames contain gifs only.

this is all very strange............. I have quickly done a jpg to gif animation and show the brief steps to get there incase something is being missed? [confused]

Hey Rick what if you double click on the background layer that is locked to make it a layer......... does that give you the option of a gif saving?
