I came across a background that has a beautiful satin look to it. It's not like the satin filter, though, in Photoshop, that puts a reflecting glean on the surface. If you move an eye dropper tool over the surface you can see that the pixels vary between 0x2A2A2A and 0x2F2F2F. So maybe we need a function that scans a solid color and then cyclically varies the pixel color up and down 5 to create the effect. Is there anything like that in Photoshop?
