Rounded Text

I am trying to do a logo that has rounded text like the text is on the edge of a coin. I'm using PS 7.0 and it has "text art", but the arched text doesn't have the same look (see example below). The text isn't rounded clean and it still looks warped. Note the R.

Is there a good plugin that would round the text cleaner or some sort of technique that would work?

That is a very interesting tutorial $1r_M4x1mu$. I've always used paths for this. But if it's purely a circle then this sure simplifies things as paths can be tricky.

I very quickly managed to do this in Illustrator!
It can sometimes be tricky to get the text to follow the inside of a curved path, but on the whole, it took 3 mins.

Wow. Thanks for all of the tips. I really should learn how to use Illustrator, but every time I try I just get frustrated because it is vastly different from Photoshop in functionality. I wish I hadn't changed the name to Superstar because I could just use what you did sprucemagoo1! ;) It's actually Goldstar (one word), but I was keeping anonymity since I'm not familiar with the forum. But wow. I don't have Elements, but I do have the disk. Looks like I need to install it.

So the tips I received I could utilize if I installed the right software, but I just don't have the right tools apparently. I can do almost everything with PS 7 and ImageReady, but this one thing I cringe about whenever someone requests it. I'll be watching some video today!
