sometimes you have lots of layers upon layers.

if you hate scrolling up and down the "Layers palette" looking for a layer to work on or edit, right clicking on your image will reveal a lot.

right click on your image when you have your "move tool" selected and you get a list of all layers underneath your mouse pointer then you can select the layer you want.

If another tool is selected, then you CTRL+right click and it works the same way.

In order to demonstrate, I put together the below image

It is a screenshot of right clicks on different parts of the image. For example, when I right click on the Eagle image, I get a list of all the layers underneath my mouse. If, for example, I want to work on the "sunset" layer, I simply select the layer from the list.

thanks for the great tip! I am always scrolling up and down in my layers pallet now I will right click :\

In addition to the great tip provided by {OZ}, these are others to consider:

1.
To move the target layer down in the layer stacking heirarchy:
Control/Command+[

2.
To move the target layer up in the layer stacking heirarchy:
Control/Command+]

3.
To target the layer below the currently targeted layer:
Alt/Option+[

4.
To target the layer above the currently targeted layer:
Alt/Option+]

5.
To target the bottom layer (bottom layer must be visible or this shortcut will target the bottom most visible layer):
Shift+Alt/Option+[

6.
To target the upper layer (upper layer must be visible or this shortcut will target the upper most visible layer):
Shift+Alt/Option+]

The mistake is having the pages as separate .psd files. You would only do that if you were using Photoshop Elements 6 on the Mac. (If you are using Mac PE6, let me know and I'll tell you how to use the Photoshop Files control).

If you are using any other version of Photoshop, then the pages should all be in one .psd file, as individual layercompsHostgator consumer report. This is a fundamental SiteGrinder concept. Have you been through the instructional videos? Layercomp pages are in video 5.

With layercomps you can have layers shared between pages. This makes for a faster build and smaller site. Also, it's much easier to business softwarework on your design in Photoshop.
