Hello everyone, new member on the boards =)

So me and my band went out and took some pictures last weekend and I thought I'd try to work them a bit in Photoshop.
I mainly played around with levels and selective colors. What do you all think? I also removed some rather offensive graffiti in the background :P

What I wanted to do was to give it a bit warmer feel but at the same tame try and make it a slightly darker and more gloomy.
Now apart from only showing off my work I have a question or two to go with it it.

I really like how the shadows turned out (for example the one on the left hand side with the ladder in it). I kinda like how it looks a bot rusty and mayb even a bit gory, almost a bit horror-movie like (I'm thinking of Silent Hill here)? Anyways how do I go about approaching that look a bit more and finally, how do you I limit the redish spots that appears all over the dark areas only to certain places of the image? To give shadows a rusty feel while leaving them out of pants and shirt and whatnot? Am I digging into complicated stuff here? Also, doesn't the picture feel a bit grainy to you on the after pic?

Lotsa questions in a first post, sorry ;)
I'm having trouble expressing myself, if you can't quite make out what I mean don't hesitate to ask :)

Cheers :D
