Restoration done with photo from worth a 1000 site

I didn't officially participate in the contest, but I wanted to give it a go anyway. I personally didn't care for the entry that won, because I really don't like the painted look. My theory on restoration is to keep it as natural looking as possible, even if that means leaving in some things others would paint out. I figure if someone wanted a portrait painted from old,ruined, photo they would hire me for that. I don't go for perfection, I go for clarity and subtle corrections that will make the overall photo better than what it was.

It is great, really. I have not seen the contest, so I cannot judge how others did but I like it a lot. If I should have one remark it seems to me that her nose is somehow a bit longer here, but hard to measure, there is too much dirt in the original nose-mouth area. :clap:
