Here's a design I came up with for a contest...

Sustainable, resource and all that good eco stuff.

It is a decent design. I find it a bit busy with the tree, but then again, I prefer more simple logos because they can be better used in a much wider range of applications. Looking at the most likely designs to win that contest, you missed out on the use of the colors brown and blue (as stated by the customer). You went with a classic tree but may have better success by thinking of a more abstract shape that would better represent the company's current and possible future business strategies.
