I'm not terribly good at this, so here I am seeking your collective expertise. What I want is relatively simple (I think), and I've sort of done some of it.

What I'm having trouble with is making the boar's neck on the right side flow into the rest of the statue. I realize the boar head needs to be blurred somewhat to match the body, but it's that right side that is giving me trouble.

So any help would be great!

(Also adding the links to the unedited images, just in case

It looks pretty close but if you got the colour of the boars head a little less bright it would be a very good match. The body is more grey-cream colour compared to the white head. Maybe a small tweak on the brightness/contrast would help.

yeah click the boars head layer go to image> adjustment > match colour and you should be able to get them close by adjusting the sliders as for the join if your using a layer mask to merge the 2 together then just lower your brush opacity to about 20 % using a soft brush at 0% hardness and gently paint in around the join on the layer mask. If you have already flattened the image then just use the clone stamp tool at about 10% opacity and sample from both images and clone through the line where they join
