Hi. I recently posed for this photo and I'm not happy with it. I was wondering if there was any way one of you might "fix it" for me. I tried to fix it myself and I failed. I'm new to photoshop and the striped sweater made it very tricky.

A little backstory...

All my life I've struggled with weight and weight related issues (health complications, losing / gaining, depression, etc.). Last year I lost over 75lbs. Overall, I've lost over 100lbs altogether. Unfortunately, I've gained some of it back. Last year my Grandma passed away, the next month my mom had a stroke (she had a heart attack the year before) and all the stress of that + the holidays messed up my motivation. I AM trying to lose weight. I'm not someone who wants a quick fix via photoshop. I need to lose weight or I'll die. I'm aware of this and I am back on track and feeling motivated.

Unfortunately, I recently went to a convention to meet some actors I'm a big fan of, and when I got some of my pictures back, I've been cringing ever since. An unflattering sweater + an unflattering angle + standing next to an actor with a perfect body has made me look heavier than ever. This is very upsetting to me. I'm taking care of me, personally, but are any of you willing to help me with this picture? I just want to post it on Facebook and maybe Instagram. I'm not making money off of this. It's just a moment I don't want to forget, yet don't want to be embarrassed of.

So basically I hate that I'm turned sideways. If any of you can turn me - I don't even know if that's possible - but if you can do it - awesome, thank you. However, my biggest problem with this picture is with the stripes and my gut. It makes me look bigger than I really am. Near my stomach, there's a seam on the left side of the sweater that looks like it's on the front of my sweater because of my angle. And because of my angle and the illusion of the sweater, my side looks like it's part of my front which makes me look huge. I want the seam and everything to the left of it gone.

I don't know if this is possible, but I'm gonna post two pictures - one of me in a different shirt and one of me in the sweater so you can see that the sweater makes me look bigger. Also, I don't want to be made to look "skinny," I want to look like I do in the non sweater picture. Expert photoshoppers who decide to take on this task, can you do a version of the picture where I look thinner and can you do a version of the picture and put me in a different shirt / a different color / maybe the shirt I'm wearing in the other picture? If so, awesome. I'd love as many options as possible. If not, that's fine.

One final request: please don't watermark this photo. I'm not trying to take credit for it or make a profit from it. I'm simply trying not to be embarrassed by how I look. If I show people the picture I have now, they'll criticize me, make fun of me, and that will have the opposite effect I want it to have. I want people to love it. I don't want to be working as hard as I am and then hear about how awful I look. Some people might not get that. Hopefully someone will.

Hi Balloon Pop,

Your request could prove rather difficult and time consuming. Be patient as it may take a while for someone to come along willing to help you out with your request. Please check your thread from time to time.

Now for my personal opinion, I think you look just fine. Be who you are. If you desire change, start at it's source and don't rely on other means, such as Ps, to change you. Good luck!
