Good Afternoon Photoshopers.
I'm from Argentina and new in the forum. I have lost my Grandma a few weeks ago, and my uncle gave me this picture yesterday. I really like it but It's a little moved and pretty dark.
Can someone, please, fix it? Removing the movement and clarify a little bit. I will really appreciate it.
P.D. Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks you all.

andres, I'm sorry about your gran. You are never going to get a decent result from this because it is just too bad. The Shake reduction gizmo inn CC did make a difference, but the background is sharper than gran and the lads, so it was back focused. I have no idea what is happening near the bottom of the frame. If you could get the original image, then someone might do a better job, but this is what I could manage.

Really tough picture to work with. I had to cheat and do some hand coloring! This is the best I could do. I think there are others who might give it a try who may have better methods.

I am afraid that is beyond making good quality image, However it can be improved slightly but the improvements are subjective to 1 person they may look better but to another it may look worse.

Anyway moving on I havent done a restoration for a long time and my shop skills are getting rusty but I had a quick go at it as well

as you can see a lot of artifact and noise generated which could be improved but then you loose detail so it is a vicious circle

Thanks. Considering there was virtually nothing to work with . . . and you can see from all the results that sharpening only exacerbates the color imbalance/artifact. That was why I chose to hand color some spots; didn't turn out realistic but at least our OP can now have both views to cherish. I hope so.

Anyway, what kind of camera could produce such a poor quality image? Or is it lighting? Cropping? The blur, maybe added to the other probs? Kind of reminds me of my first digital camera bought from the aol store, Jam Cam! But even it was better.

Here's the result of a couple of passes through "Focus Magic", followed by my usual recommendation for pix like this: "Print it small!" LOL.
