Hello,

Students from my college have gotten together enough people and resources to put on a local music festival and we created flier for the event. We have gotten a lot of comments on liking the fliers and so we want to make prints to sell, as well as really high quality prints as a surprise gift for those who helped organize the event. The problem is that the fliers use a picture of the paper we actually want to use for the art prints and I need it to be blank/white for print to be made. Do y'all think you could help me out by removing the textured paper background to just leave the design, as well as remove the Facebook link in the top right corner as it is going to be used for prints and not promotion? The only thing I ask besides all this is that the the format, file size (don't compress), and dimensions aren't changed. It is set up for the printers (300 ppi, for 10x13, etc.)*

A big thanks from Southern Maryland for any help anyone can give!

"God bless y'all real good!"

*I was going to upload the original .tiff file but the uploader dosent support it and I don't have enough post to include a link so I attached a lower quality .jpegbottom county festival poster(1).jpg

Well, you want a hi res result from a lo peg ??

This will not result in a printable result for your needs.

Old saying garbage in , garbage out......NO not the Poster, just a small image degraded. We really need a Quality Image to help with Quality results.

I have access to software that can up it to the size and ppi I need without reducing quality much. In our lab we have a program called something like "vista photozoom" or something along those lines that seems to do a good job. I should be able to schmooze the professor for access. If someone can help me out on the PS work I can bring it in sometime this week to have it converted into what the printer needs.

Really though if one or two more people respond to the thread I can hit the 5 post mark I need to link the .tiff copy I already have.

Attempting to use a jpg for this purpose is not going to give acceptable results. This image is 8.5 x 11 and would have to be further enlarged for poster size. I am semi-retired and have a good bit of time. I will be happy to help you if you would like. You can e-mail me the tiff zipped. I did a quick edit on what you sent. Here is a screen shot. PM me if interested.

You're going to sell these but you want someone else to do them for you for free.

Possibly, and in a very limited quantity if we do. Students may be selling them but the money will go to paying for the event which is being put on for free for both students and members of the surrounding community. So yes we are doing exactly what you say we are doing and if it weren't for a number of them being presents for the student organizers I would have this done by the person on the event board who created it. At this point the only prints I am positive about making at the ones for them, if they feel it is a good idea then more may be printed to pay for things like port-a-johns. Since I am paying for the first set of present-prints out of pocket as a gift I figured that my request would be viewed as a opportunity to help do something nice for some people, not exploitation. I am sorry if you feel that I am taking advantage of you and so please feel free to ignore this thread, you are officially released of any obligation to photoshop for me. The rest of you slaves get back at it ;)

Your sarcasm is well noted, and I will definitely ignore your thread. By the way, Photoshop should be capitalized.
