Hi everyone. My girlfriends birthday is coming up and i've decided to get her a shirt printed, with her beloved dog Laddie. As you have guessed from the title, I will pay you to make me a design.

I will choose my favourite of any designs put forward and pay AU$5 via paypal. Along with me choosing my favourite design, the designer will be given the chance to do 2 very similar designs to complete a 'series' of shirts featuring her other 2 dogs. These will be made to match to a degree. And will be payed for.

The attached image is said dog. My knowledge of photoshop is very small, so I know not of limitations, though simplifying of the image would be great, to focus on Laddie, and cutting out of background altogether would most likely please me the most.

Once you have shown me a design I can let you know how I would like it changed to suit, and have fun.

Let me know if there are any things I have forgotten, or that that need to be addressed.

Thankyou.

I think it would be fun to give it a try, is that all you really want? The dog cut out and simplified? Also, what resolution is this picture? I´m not sure about how printable it would be if it´s only like 72 dpi? :)

The dimensions of the file on my computer is: 3472 x 2604.
These forums allow something around 2800 x ? (I read from memory), so it has made it smaller. I can send the largest file I have through another source.
Would this still not be enough?

Thankyou for the fast reply also.

As I said I dont really know what can be done, so I dont really have any ideas. Its hard to explain.

I have looked at you picture in Photoshop.. these are the dimensions:

Width- 700 pixels
height- 525 pixels

Document size:

24,69 cm
18,52 cm

Resolution 72 ppi. (This is not enough for printing, especially on a T shirt, I don´t exactly remember what it is supposed to be for T-shirts, but I would assume at least 200 dpi. I will check it out for you and come back.) :)

Already I am having to google alot to keep up with what you are saying haha!
If it is not adequate, is there anything that can be done to fix the problem? Or to minimise it?

Yes, there is. You would have to send your picture in full resolution as you have it on your computer as an attachment to whoever is going to do it, that will work fine. The problem for me is I´m a little squeamish about giving my e-mail adress to people I don´t know very well yet.... I´ll have to think about it a bit, sorry about that :)

The answer above sounds like a bot.

Okay thats great that it can be fixed. Is there any other way besides email I can get it to you? I am very keen get the design part complete so I can progress. Hooray for Junior Member! haha

Do you have photoshop at all? If you do, you can post it here as a PSD, then everyone can have a go at it without problems. I have asked how to posta PSD here before but not done it yet. I think the answer was to go to the "Go Advanced" button here after "Post quick reply" and then post it as a regular attachment. Then anyone who has photoshop can use it to help with your design. :)

I am in the process of uploading the PSD File, it is probably a large file so it might take a little while.

OK, cool, I think the limit is like 20 mb, so it shouldn´t be a problem. :)

My upload speed is 0.32Mbps, which isn't great. How long should this take? Because I just tried to upload through my opening post but it finished with no result. I don't want to to keep wasting time with this.

Also if there is any interest at the moment, please let me know.

Send full resolution to me I'll have a look see

Are you by any chance using IE9? I had a problem with this before, you have to click the compatibility link at the top of the page. Otherwise I don´t know. I´m sure you would have a lot more answers here if it was another time of day, I don´t know where you are, but I am in Sweden, and most people here are on different time zones, this is typically a time when there is very little activity on here.

I understand how frustrating this must feel for you, I have pulled out my hair more than once when it come to things like this. :) I am sure though that you will have people all over wanting to help you with both your design, and any computer, photoshop, or uploading problems you might have if you just have some patience. :)

Im using Mozilla Firefox. Im in Australia, my tone may seem impatient through writing, so I apologise for that, but I am far from that at the moment. With the uploading I am a bit haha. I understand USA and the like will be starting to get up as we speak and going to work etc.

I am happy for the design process to be a couple of days, but just getting it off the ground and started so you guys that know what you are doing can have a go.

I´m sure things will turn out fine, I don´t know if I am one of those who "know what they are doing" though LOL!
