Rendering transparency grid in final

Hi -

Apparently I'm not a very strong Googler, because I cannot seem to create a search phrase that turns up what I'm sure is a commonly asked question:

Is there a way to render the background transparency grid in PS to the final image? In other words, I want the transparency grid to show in my final image to illustrate a process.

Alternatively, if there is not a way to preserve the transparency grid in final, is there a relatively simple way to recreate it in a layer?

Thanks for any help!

Yes, save the image a a PNG, GIF, TIFF, and PSD file. Remember, when these are uploaded to a site, the transparency allows the BG color to show through.

This has a transparent BG.

In order to see the transparency grid for demonstration purposes, I always use a screen shot....

There may be another way to do this. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Thanks, IamSam - looks like screenshots is the quickest solution, though I wound up making a fill pattern that mimics the size and grayscale of the default transparency grid.

Then I just pour that into a layer the size I need and can enable that layer as needed.

I've actually done that before myself, you preserve more quality that way. Now I'm too lazy and just use screenshots!
