Removing redness from facial features

Hi,

I have been taking pictures of my newborn niece...and when she cries the skin around her eyebrows gets really red! I know how to airbrush her skin...but there must be a simple way to reduce the red tint around her eyebrows without losing too much of her actual eyebrows.

Thanks!

Add a curve adjustment layer, go to the mask to the right of it, select all, have black in your background pallete, delete. Now it should be filled with black instead of white. Paint with white @ opacity of around 25%, with a soft brush > 0% hardness, that is slightly smaller than the area you are trying to affect. Only make a max of 2-3 strokes over the eyebrows. Get your eyedropper tool, default button is I. Shift click an area of skin that's close to area you're trying to fix that you like the color of. Now shift click again on area you want to fix that has the undesirable color. Look at your info box and match the numbers or come close to. There ya go.

Looks good tricky.

You can probably get any small red spots with the spot healing brush tool, just try to make sure the area you use it on is surrounded by the skin tone you want, not hair or eyebrows or anything else or it will just get messy.

What version of Photoshop are you using?

Looks real good on iTouch nice trick jobby. Lol....

I am using CS5. Thanks that help is great. Hawkeye what made the most difference in getting the redness out of her eyes and forehead? Was it curves?

Actually if you are able to give a more detailed description of how you accomplished that I would be extremely appreciative...I tried fiddling but am having trouble! After I make a curves adjustment what do I have to do in order to continue working an make a hue/sat adjustment??
