Remove white background from my image using elements editor?

Hi team, i have this gif that i want to get rid of the white background and make it transparent, everytime i try, little arrows on my image get deleted!!!

can someone help me out? I want to keep all the text and arrows but just get rid of the white space!

Kevin probably used Select|Color Range from the pull down menu.

Sorry guys i was tired last night and didn't feel like typing it all out!! I did not use elements to remove the back ground, i do have Elements but i don't have it installed atm because i use CS5.

I simply used the Magic Eraser Tool is Ps, 3 clicks and the white was gone, sometimes you can do that, some times you can't...
