Specific Remove vertical lines from this 1950s photo please

Can anyone clean up this image by removing the vertical lines please? It's an old photo of my great grandparents Thank you!

Can you rescan it with highest resolution as greyscale, but without any "image corrections"?

Have you tried to scan it 90° rotated?
