I will working on a project for a week on the other side of the country for which I will need access to Photoshop (and also to Illy and InDesign). The last time I did this I installed these applications on my laptop. It worked -- to a degree. But there were so many things I forgot: fonts, familiar actions, custom keyboard shortcuts, access to old jobs I could use as a starting point for new ones, and other stuff installed on my hard disk. This time, I am considering remote access. I have Go To My PC and it works, but is there a solution that is better and faster? Second, is the PC (i.e., laptop) from which I access Photoshop relevant to performance – assuming I stick with Go To My PC? (I am willing to buy a new one.) I am running Photoshop CS 5.5 under Windows 7 on my desktop. For this particular situation, I don't need to do critical color work.
