Rectangular Marquee tool Ques.

\:/I'm going through the tutorials and am trying the selection tool tutorial. And as is my luck, I select the rectangal Marquee tool, draw my rectangle and when done it comes out a circle or the corners are rounded. I know the obvious answer is, "do I have the right tool" I've clicked on the Marquee tool rectangle, it says I'm using that tool, I see it drawing the rectangle, then turns to a circle. I have defaulted,tools, used M on keyboard to select, and get the same thing, what a way to start out, and yes I am a newbie.

Make sure that the feathering is set to "ZERO"

Thanks lasa, that was it. It was set at 50, now I know what feather is, lol, thanks again
