recreating corrupted file color style

Seems like the dropbox preview option had some issues with previewing the colors correctly on the tiff picture that had been uploaded. My client now wants me to recreate this effect on the high res picture. Could anyone figure out how to do this, i am usually able to find all that i need online but this is really puzzling!

(Left side is the original, right side is the corrupt dropbox preview effect i need to recreate)

I though it would be something really easy but can't seem to be able to figure it out. Help PS gurus :)

You can get pretty close with just three adjustment layers:
one "levels" layer;
one hue/sat layer (to move the hue of the yellows around + some other minor tweaks); and,
one hue/sat (colorize) layer (to make the orange mask effect, much like old color negative film).

With more tweaking, one could undoubtedly get much closer.
