I really need help on how to do this. If anyone could tell me or send me a YouTube link I would be so grateful.

All I'm aware of is that a PSD and a texture is used..

I doubt that the operation is a YouTube video that can explain everything involved in creating this piece. What is the depth of your Photoshop knowledge?

There were many, relatively sophisticated effects were used in the creation of the image you posted. I can easily rattle of a list of 10 effects that I see in that image.

What Larry is saying is that (a) you are unlikely to ever find a video that covers them all in one video, and (b) unless you are already quite knowledgeable and experienced in PS, it would be setting you up for failure to try to bring you up to speed quickly.

I suggest you select one small part of that image that you are interested in, and work on that first, eg, the text effects, the colors used, compositing several images into one, etc.

Also, although there are many effects in the image, I can't spot one that has been done well. It's like there was five picture thrown together by a five year old in MS Paint. Not only that, but it uses a contraction word made from two contraction words, placed with a bunch of other words that just don't make sense in that order.

The person who created this image is obviously a rank amature, with a total disregard for quality.

+1, Spruce. Since the OP sounds pretty new at this stuff, I wasn't going to even mention the quality issue. I figured, let's just get him started with one of the efx.

I didn't even look at that part of it. I have been accused and have demonstrated in the past that I wouldn't know a quality image if it bit me on the butt. I gave it a cursory look and answered the man's question (I think). If someone asks me what time it is, I try to avoid explaining how a watch is made as if I knew. )

@ALB - LOL !

"...I have been accused and have demonstrated in the past that I wouldn't know a quality image if it bit me on the butt...."

I know you know the difference, but I bet your laptop monitor likes keeps lots of things to itself. ;-)

Best regards,

Tom

Now now. I check my printed output against my monitor colors and they look just fine. (to me anyhow). Maybe it's my printer that's off :banghead:
