Real troubles with file size

Hi Guys,

I've got an image I've done which is 1800 x 1600 which is a background for a blog. I exported it as a .png but got told it needs to be 300k max.

I've tried to export it on the lowest possible setting JPEG but it still comes out at 380k-ish.

Any suggestions??

When you are about to save the image make sure to choose a lower quality ( Good, High, Maximum) that will make the size drop

Thanks for the reply - these are the settings I'm currently using for the JPEG:



Even though the preview says that it will be 246.6k, I end up with a file that is 356 KB.

Still stumped :S

File>Save For Web

Play with the settings, you will get it down in size without messing with the quality too much.
