re-sizing the document

hello, i have a logo in the top left hand corner of the screen with allot of white nothing around it.
I want to just save the logo with out all of the white, i have tried cropping it with the windows vista tool but it will not allow it.

Use Photoshop's Crop Tool

Or select your logo with Regular Marquee Tool (M) and use Image -> Crop.

Thats how I would recommend doing it.
