Quick simple help needed! (NOW WITH VIDEO)

Hi, this is probably just going to expose my basic level of understanding photoshop but I have a simple question/problem. Basically, my cat decided to walk across the keyboard while i was using photoshop and has left it modified in ways I didnt want. The main things I have noticed are that when I move a layer it automatically gets more transparent. Even only slightly. I have checked the layers blending options yet they still say its at 100%. Also I cant delete anything by highlighting the area and simply pressing delete. Now it only makes it go about 50% transparent. Another thing I have noticed is that the rectangle selection now has curved edges.Any ideas how to get it back to normal?Appreciate any help,Thanks

Yes. After you click the icon but before the splash loading screen. It will have a pop up asking if you want to clear settings.

Unfortunately that only opened the scratch disk properties or something. However, now it doesnt even do that. Is there a part where I can manually reset the settings once p-shop opens?
