quick help please? need to round corners.

Hey noob here. what i have is a wall decal im trying to finish up. I'v gotten it to size and everything, but there are some very rough edges which i cannot get rid of. i''ve tried everything that comes to mind. anyone have any tricks that you can share? basics? its my first post and i cant link to the file :\


absolutley any help is greatly appreciated :)

Don't do this difficult over Phtoshop, free software RoundPic - rounded corners for avatars and images [web 2.0 style] does it in 90 seconds !!
 
You can first do a selection around the decal. With the selection tool still selected, use the refine edge tool to extend the selection and soften. Keep the radius at just over +2 or +3 and combine with Contact/Expand to float the actual selection just a few pixels above the decal borders. Once you have that, you can smooth and feather to soften the edge. Once you have softened the selection, go in with the regular brush and paint in the softer edges. Keep the paint brush edges soft too by changing the brush settings. Brush hardness should be between 20-50%
