Hey there,

some may remember, as the guys attempting to climb everest in 2022. I came here as I lack any kind of photoshop skills and the good people on here tweaked a logo for me!

Well, things have moved forward dramatically, and 2022 has now changed. Training has stepped up a gear, and its looking like I will be heading out for an Everest training climb October next year. Then if sponsor funds have been established I will make my Everest attempt either May 2014 or May 2015.

So, as some may remember I am making this climbing attempt under the banner of "Climbing For Climate Change" with Greenpeace being my main focal awareness organization.

So I am wondering if anyone could do another little tweak (the final one) to the logo.

Simply looking for the Orange to be Green with white letters C.C.C

Not even sure if that is possible to completlely remove the numbers or not, but if it is, I'm sure you gals/guys will be able to!

Hope you are all well <3

LOL, of course I remember! Moving right along huh. Great.

As for your design. Well . . . I think you did that just so we would take pity on you! Oh, I am sorry for the teasing. Here is my constructive thought.

The arrangement of the lines of type do not balance and are not really logical. I can see how you chose the word "change" to be on a separate line but it doesn't really add any impact. In fact the text and font and arrangement have no impact and the color is painful. You can't have done this in Photoshop . . .

OK, I have gotten that out of my system. Everest, leave the shopping to us. You can do the cooking.

Questions:
  • do you care what the text box color is
  • do you want the year put in
  • is that the exact wording you want
  • do you really care how we emphasize it; in other words I see giving equal emphasis to climbing and chane but each one expressed differently

You know what the sad thing is...I thought i did a good job...... the even sadder part...I actually did do this on photoshop, a trial version i found called Adobe Photoshop CS5.. this is why I think I will stick to climbing...and not anything tech related.

ok

Questions:
  • do you care what the text box color is
I went for Green, to reflect Greenpeace, I would like to keep it green, but if you can't find a nice looking green, I am not overly fussy, as long as its an earthy kind of colour.

  • do you want the year put in
right now I would say no to adding the year, as it looks like 2013/2014 now but it could change, like last time.

  • is that the exact wording you want
I like the motto/saying yes, but am open to ideas, which reflect the same message

  • do you really care how we emphasize it; in other words I see giving equal emphasis to climbing and chane but each one expressed differently
I don't mind at all, i trust you comply with this

I would do the text in white so it matches the main text just a thought.

I am bored so Maybe I will see what I can come up with if Clare doesnt mind any flexibility on a dramatic change

I don't think the saying needs any changes. But... on further thought, it might be a good idea to put in a date since you can always change the numbers, but you wouldn't have to change the overall design which is the bigger challenge.

I agree with them above. . .
You didn't leave enough details...
And, the color clash is very very painful.
I suggest to cut out the entire Orange box, then set up another layer select all the way up to the blue mountain bottom,
And set a gradient from the mountains color to the green you desire. (It will reduce the pain.)
Then make your words in the color white.
But as for the rest of it... I do not like it.

Clare, then feel free to use 2014! As for the rest, as last time, i trust you completly!

Hoogle, as I said last time, anyone can feel free to tinker with it if they want :)

Matt: I appreciate your blunt honesty :)

Darn! Now I read that. Well, might toss it around later. Here's what I have so far, a combined effort. Hoogle supplied the snowdrift and advice on the font, as to serif or non.

Let me know wht you think. Like? Dislike? I changed the green to a more minty color. It is cooler and works better with the icy blue.

So Matt, let's see your idea. Have a go at it. Feel the pain, lol!

Consider putting a dark blue border on the bottom of the green text box. I can work on it later. Off to work soon.

Actually had a little time so here's an idea, and now I really do I have to leave for work.

It might be too busy.

Ok..

I honestly could make up my mind, so I asked 10 random people who i work with, and the general consensus was that although everyone believed all of these ideas could and would work, and generally nice, good, attractive logos....Everyone seemed to like the new, almost Sci-fi looking one Hoogle came up with.

However, there was ONE small little thing, everyone said, which i promised I would relay. Is there anyway another colour would work rather than black? Black apparently seems a little...depressing/dark? I personally don't mind it, but everyone seems to have the request that maybe a light colour?

MMM I never thought it would be something you liked lol SO I never saved the PSD However I can remake it Not really much to it Just cant Guarentee it will be the same but what I will do is send you the PSD with a hue saturation adjustment layer on the background so you can have any colour you want.

When Do you need it for

Ohh whenever you have time, no rush!

Excuse my ignorance to this kind of stuff, but can't I just right click the image, and save as?
