Hello All-

I had 2 questions that needs your help... Thanks in advance for any guidance/assistance.
(1) What are recommendations from photoshop settings point for a big poster design (300 dpi)? I have CS4

(2) I heard pdf format is better for large print jobs ... but wont high dpi psd do equivalent job?

(3) Does someone have good image resizing plugin recommendation? I have images at 72 dpi levels and wondering if its possible to have high res 300 dpi quality using one of those plugins.

(4) Basically i am designing flyers/posters where users fill in location/contact details .. this is possible in pdf with fields.. Does anyone know how I can achieve without using Acrobat? I think Indesign seems good option but then I dont get form fields option in it?? Need form fields so that they can enter information.

I am sorry to post so many questions .. really appreciate any help/tips... thanks!

Your "2" questions are very vague but I'll give you my opinion on all "4" of them.

1. ....... "for a big poster design"
How big? Generally 300dpi is considered photo realistic but as the image gets larger and larger you need to get farther back to view it.
In this case the DPI can get smaller. A billboard can be as low as 18 to 20dpi.

2. ....... "pdf format is better for large print jobs"
I don't know about that but it's my understanding that PDF is a standard way deliver a book to a commercial printing company (commercial printer)

3. ...... Genuine Fractals 6 Professional Edition - onOne Software

4. ...... Don't know.
